Highfar Valve makes ductile iron air valves for water mains — double orifice units from DN20 to DN200, in GGG50, epoxy coated inside and out, and inspected one by one before dispatch.

Double Orifice Air Valve — DN80

One size. Three hundred units. The question is never whether the first one works.

Anyone can make a good sample. Put one valve on a bench on a quiet Tuesday and it will pass. The test is number 300. Same casting, same coating thickness, same float setting, same cover bolt torque. Because the network does not install all three hundred this month — it installs one here, one next year, and nobody remembers which case any of them came out of. That is what a batch order actually buys: repeatability, not a design. The DN80 is a double orifice unit — two functions in one casting. The large orifice under the hood empties and fills the main, and lets air back in on drain-down so the pipe is not sucked flat. The small orifice in the side chamber bleeds off the air that keeps coming out of solution while the line is under pressure, working off a float and a nozzle, cycle after cycle. At PN16 a DN80 flange carries roughly 8 kN of end thrust. That is what eight M16 bolts and the wall section are sized for — not the pressure class printed on the body. Each small orifice ships with its cap fitted, so dust and jobsite grit stay out of the seat between the factory and the valve chamber.

Two orifices, one body Large orifice for filling and draining; small orifice for continuous air release under pressure. GGG50 ductile iron ISO 1083 / EN 1563 GJS-500-7. Nodular graphite — it deforms before it cracks. Sized for the thrust PN16 on a DN80 means ~8 kN on the flange. Bolts and wall section are sized for that, not for a nameplate. Capped and crated Orifice capped at dispatch, 20 units per plywood case in a cardboard grid, inspected unit by unit.
